The right lighting can change everything! A few of our favorite modern coastal lighting options. A new chandelier, pendant or set of sconces can completely transform your space. Our designers are loving texture and crisp whites this season.
Often when our design team meets with clients they have pieces of furniture that are special to them. It could be a vintage or antique piece , or just some furniture that was expensive and well made, but is now dated. The Pineapple Girls love a challenge, and some of our favorite ways to refresh furniture include reupholstering with a fun fabric, or adding a coat of paint in a new hue. These changes can repurpose your furniture to make it modern and fresh. Below are a few of our favorite repurposed pieces. A kitchen island is a wonderful spot for family to enjoy casual meals together, and the right bar or counter stools can transform your kitchen. When choosing a stool, choose something comfortable and easy to clean. The upholstered barstools in the photo above are slipcovered for easy cleaning. We also love a textured stool…think rattan or jute for a modern coastal vibe.

Symmetrical, harmonious and calm yet vibrant, the Kyma tableware collection holds the powerful characteristics of the Greek Aegean sea. Imported from Greece, the crisp blue and white hues of the sea and the sky bring a casually elegant vibe to your table.

Our hand painted coastal pumpkins are back again this year with new colors and designs! These are LIMITED editions and sold out quickly last year. They are great on a console, dining room table or front porch. The pumpkins are artificial, so they can be used throughout the fall season, and year after year.
We brought back our most popular Octopus design and included it in this years collection. The pumpkins are beautiful and fun works of art, created especially for us, and signed by artist, Joni Garman. Perfect for your coastal decor.
We were so honored to have this recent design project featured in the latest issue of Cottages & Bungalows magazine!
Lisa has always dreamed of living in a comfortable, relaxed, Florida Cracker style cottage, with views and breezes from the water that create her “Barefoot Dream” lifestyle.
“Cottage on Cabot” was built with the true Florida Cracker architecture of the past, and blends perfectly with its historic surroundings. Cracker architecture was used widely in the 19th century in Florida. Florida cracker homes are characterized by metal roofs, wrap around porches, long and straight central hallways from the front to the back of the home. Peterson loved this concept so she incorporated many windows and doors that open onto the large deck, allowing the constant ocean breeze to fill the house.
When entering the home, you immediately see the stunning blend of textures, organic woods, and fun printed fabrics. It is a casual and comfortable vibe. The flooring throughout the home is french wide plank white oak.
Fun printed fabrics really pop among this sea of white shiplap! The floor to ceiling windows really showcase the stunning views of the water.
This 1800’s antique farmhouse table from Belgium is the focal point of the dining room where many family dinners are shared.
This dream kitchen has so many special features. The oversized island is a favorite family gathering spot where food, fun, & laughter are shared. The custom banquette is the perfect spot for morning coffee and watching the boats go by. Finally, we love the custom hood and open shelving design.
The master suite includes a beautiful upholstered bed and large master bath with White Thassos hand laid herringbone floors, Calcutta marble vanities and double barn doors at the entry.
A few final favorite shots include the powder room and hallway with built-in writing desk . We hope you enjoyed this tour of Cottage on Cabot! It was truly a labor of love.
Here is the layout from Cottages and Bungalows. They did such a beautiful job!
