1. Quality Material is Key.

When purchasing wood furniture, you should know it falls in one of three categories; solid wood, veneers, and particle board or composite. The priciest option out of the three is going to be the most long-lasting;

Solid wood tables are stable, last generations and are common to pass down to children because of their value and quality. Veneer tables have an inexpensive wood base, with high quality wood layered on the top. Their low-budget core means that veneer furniture pieces are good quality option for lower price-point.

Particle board lasts about as long as we’re going to talk about it.

2. Check the Legs

Legs of any couch, sofa or chair should feed sturdy and securely jointed to the frame. When you plan on spending more than $1,000 on a sofa check for an extra leg in the center for support, this is a couching saving piece that most low quality pieces aren’t made with.

3. Stick to neutral colors
