Life On The Coast

In Florida, the beach is never truely far, especially when today’s home decor often integrates that classic coastal lifestyle we live and breathe down here in Jupiter. We make sure to carry a bit of home in all of our pieces.

Breakers Palm Beach Tray by Gray Malin

World renown photographer Gray Malin’s work is once again on our favorites list; These trays forge Gray’s most iconic images with exceptional product design. Whether you are using this to serve your guests at your next cocktail party or simply as a decorative piece, it will become a beautiful centerpiece of your home that naturally absorbs light, making the imagery glow almost magically.

Bring life to your modern coastal home with this Bubblegum Beach print! The happy palette and hand embellished texture will add a touch of whimsy to your decor.

We are loving this Rattan trend! Putting these timeless pieces paired with white accents makes is a great option to achieve that modern coastal home vibe. Here’s some of our favorites:

The Palecek Ventura Swivel Lounge Chair is crafted with a metal swivel base and hardwood frame with double wall back allowing you to spin 360 degrees. The sides are hand-wrapped natural lampakanai rope.

The Rattan Sideboard is a classic coastal inspired buffet made from hand painted white mahogany and framed with natural rattan. It offers plenty of storage, with four equally sized drawers and two cabinet doors with interior shelving.

The Fabian Mirror is created by hand; voluptuous loops of natural rattan, corralled by a wide row of thick rattan braids, encircle a round mirror.

The Palecek Malawi Occasional Chair is comfortable, stylish and features intricately woven pencil pole rattan with a pole rattan frame. The classic and crisp occasional chair includes a loose upholstered seat cushion.

The Tilly Table Lamp is a fresh accent piece that works well with a variety of decor styles, from coastal to traditional. It features a vibrant, glossy finish on the base and a crisp white linen drum shade to complete the modern and coastal look.

The Meri Bowl Chandelier is a gorgeous 4-light fixture that features a pierced, frost-white resin frame making you think of coral and shells for a refined yet relaxed, coastal vibe. Swipe to see this phenominal piece where it belongs: in a fabulous home like yours.

How To Mix and Match Fabrics In Your Coastal Home

When choosing decor for a space, fabric is a key element. It’s important to find the right combination for your drapery, furniture and pillows. Many people are intimidated by the different options and unsure how to coordinate different patterns together. We think choosing fabric should be a fun experience! Once you know a few tricks, you can mix and match like a pro.

First, choose your color palette. If it’s blues, multiple tones are a great choice, this gives you more options when selecting accessories.

Typically you fall in love with a pattern within your palette, which is usually bold and becomes your “lead” fabric, from there you can choose less prominent coordinating patterns to pull it all together.

Stripes are always a good choice for your 2nd fabric, as they blend well with ikats, large patterns, small patterns, or just about everything.

The third fabric could be a solid.  If you use a pattern on your throw pillows, you might want a solid on your drapes.  If your sofa is solid, the throw pillows are a great place to add some patterns.

A good rule to remember is the rule of three.  More than three colors or patterns in a room can look busy.

A white, slipcovered sofa is a great canvas for adding patterned throw pillows in colorful fabrics.
